Behavioral Interventions for Kids with ADHD

Both groups experienced a decrease in ADHD symptoms. The first group took a group parenting skills class on a regular basis. The second group participated in parenting class also focusing on child safety and understanding their child’s behavior. When going through Neurofeedback treatment, the patient has electrodes attached to their head in order to monitor their brain activity.
During the study, once the brain waves reach the frequency that the researchers were after, the patient is informed via a signal. Ultimately, with enough training and practice the patient will learn how to increase their arousal all on their own, leading to better working memory, more focus, and less symptoms of ADHD.
